Step Brothers

Step Brothers
starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly. The film will be released July 25, 2008.

Oh, Will Ferrell...What am I going to do with you? You are constantly making all these movies where you act completely ridiculous. Haven't you got it that the audience is getting tired of it? Since Talladega Nights, you career has been on the steady decline. Is this going to save you? Do you have enough faith in Dewey Cox to rescue your career? I like to believe everything will be wonderful, but I am scared. Where is did my favorite SNL alum go? Or the genious behind Elf?

Anyway, this story is about two grown men who still live with their single parents. Well, those two parents get married, so the grown boys are no longer the only child. First they hate each other, then they love each other, and then they hate each other, etc., etc. So basically all the laughs will come when these grown men act like little children, i.e. sleeping in bunk beds, jumping on a trampolin, you should get the picture by now!

Now I know I have been pretty harsh about this film, but Ferrell is going to have to do something amazing to make up to me all the awful movies I have set through believing in him! I will admit Walk Hard was a lot funnier than I expected, but I am on the fence about this. I would hate to think about what would happen if Ferrell lets me down again...

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 starring America Ferrera and Amber Tamblyn which is set to be released August 8, 2008.

When I was in middle school, my grandmother gave me the first book of this series as a Christmas present. Of course, being the cool middle schooler that I was, I didn't really care much for it. Then, a couple years later, I was bored one summer and went through all my books. I read this book, and feel in love with the series. I have been following it very closely for sometime now!

A brief recap for those of you knew to the series, these books are about four best friends who were leaving each other for the first time. On one of their last days together, they went clothes shopping and found a pair of pants that happened to fit all of them perfectly! Not hard to imagine if they were all the same size, but they weren't. They were "magical" pants. But let me not confuse you. The story doesn't have anything to do with magic. The pants are there to connect the four characters. Each one ventures out and has to deal with her own issues. But they have each other and the pants.

Now, I have seen the first movie, and it is AMAZING! It stays very true to the book. I have also read all the other books, so I know what is suppose to happen in this film, if it is based solely on the book, but we all know they change things!. Anywho. I don't want to ruin any aspect of this film, but if you need a good movie to go to with your best friend, this would be the movie to do it! I was very surprised to see the trailer for it because I didn't know that they were going to make the sequel, but it was one of the best surprises I have received in a long time!

Space: The Final Frontier

STAR TREK

Star Trek starring Chris Pine, Eric Bana, Zachary Quinto and NOT William Shatner with a current release date of May 9, 2009.

Now I know it is not being released for another year, but I am extremely excited about this movie! I would consider myself a Trekkie when it comes to Star Trek vs. Wars. I don't know that much about the Klingon's history or which planet was the first ever place the USS Enterprise landed outside of our planet, but I do love the stories of them!

This trailer is really good about being a teaser and nothing else! Everybody knows they are making this film. They have to keep it in people's memory without giving to much away, and I think this film does exactly that. It gets people excited, but I still have no clue what is going to happen.

What I do know is that they are replacing Captain Kirk (William Shatner) and the rest of the crew with a much younger cast. They are brining back old Spock, but not old Kirk! I think harshly about J.J. Abrams (of LOST fame) for this decision. Shatner built the empire that is Star Trek and Abrams doesn't want to recognize that?

And, no matter how great this movie is or how wonderful the new Captain is, Jean-Luc Picard will ALWAYS be the best captain! Now HE would be great in this movie...

Wall*E

Wall*E starring John Ratzenberger, Sigourney Weaver and Fred Willard. The film is being released June 27, 2008.

Summer is here, and that only means one thing....time for another Pixar movie! I love Pixar films and am always looking forward to the next one coming out. I will admit, though, that I have been disappointed by the last few, but that is because I love Finding Nemo so much! The Incredibles and Ratatouille where both really good, but still, they don't compare to thoses fishes!

But the great thing about this film, is that it has been YEARS in the making. And when I say years, I mean years. This film was first concepted after the when the first Toy Story was being finished. The story goes that the Pixar creators sat around a table and discussed the next movies. They were 1. A Bug Life 2. Monster's Inc. 3. Finding Nemo and lastly 4. Wall*E. So as you can tell, this film has some fantastic company!

The story is about a robot who is left on trash infested earth while everybody else has left. When a space ship comes back, he hopes on. When he travels to the new world, he finds new things, a new way of life and even a new love! What I am really interested to see is how he communicates. In the trailer, he doesn't say anything except his broken name. Maybe he speaks, and maybe he doesn't, but whichever way, I can't wait to see that cute little robot on the silver screen!

Sex and the City - Take 2

IT IS FINALLY HERE!!!!

The full trailer for the Sex and the City movie was finally released! It is interesting what they show, especially the whole Mr. Big situation. So, from the trailer, Big and Carrie are suppose to get married, but Big backs out, but they are still in love and end up together by the end of the movie? Why do they have to have the most complicated love life? Also, the biggest surprise of the trailer was when Steve said "It was only once!" The most lovable guy in the whole film cheated on his wife? The fashion looks amazing, but of course we knew it would!

Now more than ever, I cannot wait until May 30 at 12.00 A.M.!

88 Minutes

88 MINUTES
starring Al Pacino, Benjamin Mackenzie and LeeLee Sobieski. This film will be released April 18, 2008.

Normally, I showcase upcoming movies that I haven't seen. But, in this instance, I have already seen this movie. With my schedule being so busy, I generally watch movies online now. I know it is bad for the industry, and eliminates movie trailers, but a girl has to do what a girl has to do right?

So instead of my predictions for this movie, I will give you a little bit of a review...

First, I saw this trailer when I saw the movie Vantage Point in the theater. It looked absolutely amazing! I mean, Pacino is in it! So I was pleasantly surprised when the movie showed up on davidmovie.com. (That site and watch-movies.net are my favorite sites to watch pirated movies!)

ABOUT THE MOVIE...

Well, the trailer makes it seem like there is this unexpected twist. The only problem is, it never came. It was a good story, but there just wasn't that moment that shocked me. About 20 minutes into the film, I was like "Do I already know who the killer is?" And by the end of the movie, it turns out I did. There was even a point when after everything was "resolved," that I thought, maybe it is coming, but no, no twist in this movie.

Also, the title was a little confusing. I know why he has 88 minutes to live. They made that clear, but I didn't see what it had to do with the rest of the story. There was no connection.

I don't want to discourage you from seeing the film, but you might want to wait and Netflix it or you can always watch it online now!

The Little Mermaid

While I was in New York, I got the opportunity to see The Little Mermaid on Broadway. It was a spectacular show. The costumes and sets were amazing. The songs...classic! It stayed close enough to the movie for me to love! I haven't seen the movie in a number of years, but I definitely need to go back and watch it. I thought posting this trailer would mix things up a bit. I love upcoming movie trailers because it is a preview into an unknown world, but I also like going back and watching old clips to see how well they promoted the movie.

I think Disney did an excellent job on this one!

This is VERY exciting...

This is great news for the movie trailer business!

Here is an excellent example of what they are talking about...
